…about the AAGT Conference

1.

Q: What is the conference schedule?
A: The Conference runs from 8:00 – 5:00 both days. The full schedule will be posted online by the end of January. Notice of when the schedule is online will be sent via the AAGT eNews.

Q: What meals are provided at the conference?
A: Continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.

3.

Q: Does BCCC have wireless internet access?
A: Yes, Wi-fi is available throughout the conference.

Q: Are special rates available at any of the nearby hotels?

Q: Are there sessions for parents this year?
A: Yes, parents are encouraged to attend the conference on Friday, February 7. Special parent sessions will be held during each break-out time. Parents can also receive a special day rate. See the registration section.

Q: Will there be Exhibitors as in the past?
A: Yes, there will. If you are interested in being an Exhibitor, please click here for an Exhibitor Application.

Q: I’d like to volunteer to help at this conference. How do I notify AAGT?
A: We can always use help. Please email officemanager@arizonagifted.org.

Q: How do I receive my attendance certificates?
A: Attendance certificates will be given out at the end of each day. Attendees are responsible for obtaining the certificates. Announcements will be made at the conference regarding “how, where, and when”. Certificates will not be issued after February 7, 2014.

9.

Q: Can I register online if I am using a Purchase Order?
A: Yes, you must register online using a Purchase Order (PO). Each person listed on the PO must complete a separate registration form.

Q: How can I pay for the conference?
A: Our online system allows you to pay with a credit card, indicate your purchase order number, or indicate you will be paying with a check by using the drop-down feature on the registration page. If you are paying by check, you will need to mail your email confirmation and check following submitting the online form.

Q: My school district will pay for my registration, but not for my membership. Can I pay for my membership separately?
A: Yes, you can pay for your membership separately. Just click on “Join” in the Quick links to complete a membership application. Once you submit your application you will be qualified for the membership discount.

Q: Our district can’t afford to send people for the 2-day conference. Can we send 2 teachers each for one-day at the 2-day price?
A: Yes, you can send two different teachers on a 2-day conference registration. Online registration needs to be completed by one of the attendees.  In the Registration Type section “Two Day Conference” spaces will appear for you to enter the name and email address of each teacher and which day they will attend.

Q: Are there scholarships available to assist with the costs?
A: Yes, a one-day scholarship is available for 1st time attendees who are AAGT members. There will be 20 given on a first come basis and the due date for applying is December 1st.  You must join AAGT to apply for the scholarship. Scholarships are now closed.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: The AAGT Conference cancellation policy is you may cancel your registration to the conference and receive a refund minus a $50 handling fee. Refunds will not be made until after the conference and may take up to 30 days. You will receive a check for your registration minus the $50 handling fee, unless it was paid by PO and then that amount will be subtracted from the PO total. To receive a refund, you must request it in writing to AAGT.

Q: How can I save money on conference registration?
A: By registering for the Early-Bird rates which run until December 20th, 2013.
