Our Mission and Vision

The mission of the Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented (AAGT) is to advocate for the diverse population of gifted children in the state of Arizona.  We strive to accomplish that mission by disseminating information, supporting local parent groups, and encouraging the growth of quality programs for gifted children.

Our vision includes seeing, in practice, what the Arizona state mandate sets forth in law:

• We see gifted students in grades K through 12 receiving services as an integral  part of their school day in all of our schools.
• We see our state's gifted student population ethnically reflect that of our state's student enrollment.
• We see gifted students receiving instruction commensurate with their academic ability, grades K-12.
• We see our gifted students receiving their instruction from gifted endorsed teachers.
