What: Conference on parenting gifted children
Who: for Arizona's parents, grandparents, & educators

Time: 10 AM - 4 PM, (Resource Fair open at 9AM)
Place: Center for Educational Excellence, Tempe, 1700 E. Elliot Rd.
#9 (east of I-10, west of loop 101)
Price: $25 per person, sack lunch provided, preregistration
required.

- Expert speakers on characteristics of high ability children, finding a good
educational fit, social and emotional needs, advocating for your gifted student,
parenting tips by age group - preschool/ elementary /MS /HS)
- Resource fair (pick up info on after-school and summer programs, local gifted
programs and educational alternatives, find nearby parent groups, chat with
experts)
- Books, games, and more for purchase from invited vendors
- Lunch with other parents and educators while you browse
- Spanish sessions and resources too

Children's Program
NOTE: Children's Program is full - registration is closed.
Children will spend the day with peers in a fun and stimulating environment. They'll do educator-planned, hands-on activities for both their left and right brains as well as play mind-stretching board games. Price is $25 per child. This includes a Homework Doctor (
www.homeworkdoc.com) session for students in grades 4 - 8.
Schedule for Children:
9:30AM - 10AM, Get signed in by parent
10AM - 3:30PM, fun and stimulating hands-on activities, pizza lunch
3:30PM - 4:00PM
