Call to Action - protect integrity of gifted
testing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Gifted Education Supporters,
Our gifted education programs rely upon the appropriate use of
gifted identification tools and ethical testing procedures. It
has come to my attention that eBay denied a request from Harcourt
Assessments to restrict the sale of secure tests on eBay, which
creates a significant threat to the integrity of G&T programs
throughout the country. To get eBay to reconsider their
policy, anyone who has a stake in this can contact eBay with
their concerns.
Anyone wanting to voice their concerns or cite actual misuse of
tests purchased on eBay, should send correspondence to:
Mr. Edward Torpoco
Regulatory
Counsel
eBay, Inc.
2145
Hamilton Ave.
San Jose, California 95125
For more information you can view a
letter that Harcourt
Assessments is placing in a National Psychologist
magazine. This explains the entire situation and the
communication they had with eBay on the matter.
I encourage you to voice your concerns about the improper sale
and use of secure tests by writing a letter to eBay at the address
noted above.
Thank you,
Dina Brulles
President,
AAGT
