The Details: The Story Behind This
Idea
Summer is a wonderful time to relax and
regroup. For me, it is a time to percolate new ideas. How
many careers actually afford their employees percolation time? It is
truly sad that we are moving sooo fast and trying to get our children ahead of
the rest that we just don’t take time to stop, smell the roses, observe the
clouds, feel the sand between our toes or the gentle breezes against our
faces. The first two weeks of my vacation were spent clearing out the clutter from my closets, drawers, garage and mind. You have to know how good that feels. At the same time, I was able to make a list of all the things I had to do that I didn’t have time to get to with the business of the end of the
year. As I powered through that list, I actually found I was cleaning
the clutter in my mind. Quickly my right brain got busy on my more
lofty goals; Reaching 100,000 children this year. Sounds pretty
ominous, since I am one person, with 11,000 books in my garage and a full time
teaching po sition. Nightly seminars just weren’t going to be the way
to make this happen, so my right brain went to work.
Bingo! The ideas started flowing, and I began seeing and hearing the
answer to what I needed to do.
Now, I just need to
see if you feel this will work.
Here goes another one of my Great Ideas that may work. I have found a way to have a FREE monthly
conference call on the first Thursdays of the month from 7-8 PM for
teachers, the second Thursday for parents and the third Thursday for
students.
The only cost involved would be
if the caller does not have long distance because it is a 702 number. The goal of these calls will be to help me help as many people this year as possible without burning myself out.

Teacher Hour
Designed to offer support with any issues that crop up in the classroom and to offer FREE coaching to anyone
wanting to implement my program this year.

The Parent Hour would offer
parents opportunities for suggestions for dealing with the myriad of challenges
they are facing in their homes right now. Often a simple change in
words we are using will make a huge difference.

The
Student Hour
will be available to students
to learn how to improve the results they are getting from the teachers they have
right now. This is great for older students, including high school and
college students. Again it is
FREE.
